Welcome to AFSCME Local 1072's new online Professional Development Day also know as PDD request system.  This system must be used to request your day.  Please make sure and leave an email address so that if there are any problems we may contact you quickly. 

If after one week you do not hear that your Professional Development Day (PDD) has been approved - Ask your supervisor about it.

Due to this being a year of re-negotiations you MUST use your "Professional Development Day" prior to July 1, 2010.  Pursuant to the provisions of Article 9, Section 21 of the 2008 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University. Please be advised that the MOU containing these provisions is set to expire on June 30, 2010.  Until a new MOU is ratified containing this provision, the University will not process any request for Professional Development Leave for a date after June 30, 2010! 

There are a few rules:

• You must be a member of the Bargaining Unit to be eligible.
• You must apply 15 CALENDAR days (OR MORE!) ahead of time.
• No more than 40 employees may take the same day off.
  This means first come, first served. Popular days will be filled first!
